My interest was awakened by the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day and by the age of 10 I knew I wanted to be a stuntman. I began roller skating at 18 months old, was bike riding without assistance by age 4, learned to skateboard and ride horses before 8 years old , started running as a teenager, and then added rock climbing to my activities. During college, I managed the school rock wall gym and trained in weightlifting with Eric Evans, 1972 Olympian. Continuing my academic studies at the University of Louisville, I majored in Exercise Science. I advanced my stunt driving skills through a course in Los Angeles before moving to Atlanta from my home in Louisville, Kentucky. An actor-friend, Ben Harris, had advised me about the opportunities emerging in Atlanta for a newbie wanting to establish a career in the film industry. I was immediately informed that I would need to live and breathe the stunt world for at least 10 years before becoming fully established in this profession. It is a commitment I eagerly made.

Additionally, I had the privilege of being a stunt double for Woody Harrelson, Peter Weller, J. K. Simmons, Edward Gelhaus, and Harris Yulin, among others. I am pleased to work with and learn from stunt coordinators as John Copeman, Daniel Hargrave, Glenn Foster, Jennifer Badger, George Cottle, Bob Fisher, Freddy Bouciegues and Marian Green, and several other coordinators. I am particularly grateful to Jennifer Badger and John Copeman for their Tafting efforts, leading to my membership in good standing with SAG-AFTRA, and for my continued work with each of them.
